  237.  Mr. Aylward  Information on Liam Aylward  Zoom on Liam Aylward   asked the Minister for Health and Children  Information on Brian Cowen  Zoom on Brian Cowen   if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 283 of 30 November 1999 regarding a replacement card under the new drug refund scheme for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny, he will contact the South-Eastern Health Board immediately to have a new card issued. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Cowen): Information on Brian Cowen  Zoom on Brian Cowen  The registration of persons for the new drug payment scheme is a matter for the relevant health board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

I understand that the board will contact the Deputy immediately to clarify the situation.
