  324.  Mr. Ring  Information on Michael Ring  Zoom on Michael Ring   asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands  Information on Síle de Valera  Zoom on Síle de Valera   if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be compensated for the destocking of 30% of his ewes in 1998 in view of the fact that he was specifically requested to do so; and when he will receive the recently announced payment. Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands (Miss de Valera): Information on Síle de Valera  Zoom on Síle de Valera  I understand from the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development that the person named by the Deputy has been in REPS since 1997 and is not therefore eligible for compensation under the scheme being administered by my Department for the 30% destocking which took place in 1998.
