the funding granted to all the Gaeltacht areas for roads, piers and harbours in each of the years 1998 and 1999.

Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands (Éamon Ó Cuív):
I propose to take Questions Nos. 321 and 330 together.
The following table indicates the amounts sanctioned on a county by county basis in the years 1998 and 1999, and so far this year, under Subhead E. of my Department's Vote in respect of roads, piers and harbours.
It should be noted that major further funding for roads will be announced for Gaeltacht areas in the near future.
