An Ceann Comhairle:
Before coming to the Order of Business, I propose to deal with a notice under Standing Order 31 from Deputy Sargent. I now call on the Deputy to state the matter.
Mr. Sargent:
In accordance with the terms of Standing Order 31, I wish to give notice of my intention to seek the adjournment of the Dáil in light of the continuing and escalating disruption to mainline and suburban rail services so that the Government can inform the House of all necessary measures it needs to initiate to ensure resolution of the dispute and to avoid further deteriorating chaos caused by ILDA actions, which Iarnród Éireann is simply calling a staff shortage, leaving its customers angry, perplexed and very frustrated.
An Ceann Comhairle:
Having considered the matter fully, I do not consider it to be one contemplated by Standing Order 31 and, therefore, I cannot grant leave to move the motion.
