Mr. Ring
asked the
Minister for Health and Children
the number and categories of staff the hospitals in the Western Health Board area are seeking, on a hospital to hospital basis, giving details of the length of time these requests are awaiting ministerial approval; when he will sanction some of these appointments; and the appointments made over the past two years.

My Department has asked the Western Health Board to advise on the relative priority of these posts.
