As part of this project, a small dedicated area will be provided for the medical examination of prisoners brought under escort from Castlerea Prison to the accident and emergency department. Discussions on part funding this element of the project occurred late last year and agreement was reached to make a financial contribution apportioned to the cost of provision of the dedicated area.
