Minister for Health and Children
if the profession of psychotherapy is included in the forthcoming legislation concerning the statutory registration for health and social care professionals; if an organisation (details supplied) will be given a place on the working party which is dealing with this proposed legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Officials of my Department have met the Irish Council for Psychotherapy to discuss this issue. At present, I am considering the case that has been put forward by the council, and I will be in contact with them as quickly as possible.
