Mr. Connaughton
asked the

Mr. McCormack
asked the
Minister for Education and Science
the position regarding an application for a full-time remedial teacher for Corrandulla national school, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):
I propose to take Questions Nos. 775 and 865 together.
The case made by the school in question for additional remedial teacher support has been examined in my Department. I can assure the Deputies that the needs of Corrandulla national school will be fully considered in the event of additional remedial teacher posts becoming available for allocation.
