asked the
Minister for the Environment and Local Government
the level of funding which was made available to Kerry County Council in 2000, 2001 and 2002 for non-national roads in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Dempsey):
Kerry County Council's non-national road grant payment for 2000 was £11,487,288 (14,585,846) and the grant allocation to the Council for 2001 was £12,240,000 (15,541,594), an increase of 7% on the payment figure for 2000 or 57% on the payment figure for 1997. I will announce details of 2002 non-national grant allocations early next year.
