286. Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Education and Science the status regarding a school extension for Dunkeerin national school, County Offaly; and when he expects work to commence in this matter. [32333/01]
Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods): Architectural planning for the provision of an extension to Dunkeerin national school is under way. At this stage it is not possible to say when the project will go on site.
287. Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the situation regarding funding for the new school building at Rathpeacon national school, Rathpeacon, County Cork. [32334/01]
289. Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of schools in Cork city and county which had been given approval for renovations and had the approval withdrawn; and the number of such schools which have been restored to their original position of approval. [32336/01]
Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods): I am not aware of my Department's building unit having progressed any school renovation projects in Cork city or county in the manner described by the Deputy.

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods): Is mian liom a chur in iúl don Teachta gur eisíodh litir a cheadaíonn aighneacht Chéim 2 do thionscadal na scoile nua dá dtagraíonn an Teachta chuig an gcliant Coiste Gairmoideachais Cho Bhaile Átha Cliath in Iúil 2001. Go dtí seo ní bhfuarthas aighneacht chéim 3 in aonad foirgníochta mo Roinne.
