  112.  Mr. Allen  Information on Bernard Allen  Zoom on Bernard Allen   asked the Minister for Health and Children  Information on Micheál Martin  Zoom on Micheál Martin   if he will make a statement on recent fears expressed by the Irish Medical Organisation that the health services face a loss of up to 250 hospital doctors as early as June 2002 due to the temporary registration system. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): Information on Micheál Martin  Zoom on Micheál Martin  I am aware of the situation to which the Deputy refers. I am currently taking steps to amend the Medical Practitioners Act, 1978, to deal with the matter.
