  231.  Mr. Ring  Information on Michael Ring  Zoom on Michael Ring   asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food  Information on Joe Walsh  Zoom on Joe Walsh   the reason it is necessary for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo to submit a grant of probate to get his area based payments for 2002, considering that payment issued to this person in his name in 2001. Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh): Information on Joe Walsh  Zoom on Joe Walsh  Payments under the 2001 ewe premium and area-based compensatory allowance schemes issued in the name of the current applicant's father who was then the registered flockowner.

[676]The current applicant is required to submit a grant of probate to establish his legal entitlement to the grants claimed under schemes in 2002.
