  357.  Mr. Boyle  Information on Dan Boyle  Zoom on Dan Boyle   asked the Minister for Education and Science  Information on Noel Dempsey  Zoom on Noel Dempsey   the budget agreed in the 2002 Book of Estimates for second level teacher inservice training; if this has been fully used for the purposes described; and if not, the other purposes to which this money has been allocated. Minister for Education and Science (Mr. N. Dempsey): Information on Noel Dempsey  Zoom on Noel Dempsey  The budget for the in-career development unit covers inservice training for both primary and post-primary teachers and also training/support for parents and school management at 1st and 2nd levels. The amount allocated in the Book of Estimates for 2002 was €19.5 million and this money is being spent for the purposes for which it was allocated. It is expected that the out-turn for this year will be in the region of €18.5 million, a saving of just less than €1million.
