  272.  Mr. Ring  Information on Michael Ring  Zoom on Michael Ring   asked the Minister for Health and Children  Information on Micheál Martin  Zoom on Micheál Martin   when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called to the Merlin Park Hospital for a hip operation in view of the fact that they are in severe pain and urgently need this operation. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): Information on Micheál Martin  Zoom on Micheál Martin  The provision of medical services in this case is [1150] the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position and to reply directly to the Deputy.
