Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if an application has been received for the provision of a new fire station at Bunbeg, Gweedore, County Donegal; when the application was received; the stage it is at; when will an allocation be made so that work can proceed on the new station. Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if Donegal County Council has sought approval to proceed to design stage for a new fire station at Bunbeg, Gweedore, County Donegal; when the application was received; when it is likely to be approved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19752/06]
An application from Donegal County Council for approval in principle for a new fire station at Gweedore was received in my Department on 15 February 2006 and is being considered in the context of the fire services capital programme, having regard to the overall availability of resources and priorities under the programme.
