Breen  Information on Pat Breen  Zoom on Pat Breen   asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources  Information on Noel Dempsey  Zoom on Noel Dempsey   if he will request the ESB not to proceed with the erection of a telecommunications mast at Clonroadmore, Ennis, County Clare (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources (Mr. N. Dempsey): Information on Noel Dempsey  Zoom on Noel Dempsey  Issues relating to the physical siting of telecommunication masts are not a matter for me but for the relevant local authorities under the aegis of my colleague, the Minister for the Environment, Heritage, and Local Government. Decisions in this regard are an operational matter for the ESB and not one in which I have a function.
