  124.  Deputy Joanna Tuffy  Information on Joanna Tuffy  Zoom on Joanna Tuffy   asked the Minister for Justice and Law Reform  Information on Dermot Ahern  Zoom on Dermot Ahern   if there has been an increase in illegal parking in the area surrounding Dunboyne train station since its opening; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Justice and Law Reform (Deputy Dermot Ahern): Information on Dermot Ahern  Zoom on Dermot Ahern  I am informed by the Garda authorities that significant parking facilities have been provided at the station. Local Garda management is not aware of any increase in illegal parking in its vicinity since its opening.

The area is subject to regular Garda patrols to ensure compliance by all road users with the provisions of the Road Traffic Acts and will remain closely monitored. Any breaches of the legislation will be dealt with appropriately.
