Minister for Defence (Deputy Tony Killeen):
The Department of Defence was represented on the Inter-Departmental Group on Administrative Burden Reduction from July 2008 to June [838]2009. A screening exercise was performed on a comprehensive list of the Department’s legislation from which no information obligations on businesses were identified. Following consultation with the Tanaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, the Department was signed out of the process in June 2009.
