  56.  Deputy Mary Lou McDonald      asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs      the date on which she will publish a new policy framework for youth work and youth service provision. [19893/11]

Minister for Children and Youth Affairs (Deputy Frances Fitzgerald):    My Department is currently developing an overarching Youth Policy Framework to accommodate the identified areas and issues pertinent to young people within the 10-24 age range that fall within — and which are related to — the remit of my Department. The overall aim of the Framework is to clarify and enhance coherence, connectivity, coordination and delivery in youth services and related out-of-school services for young people. Work in this regard is progressing with a view to finalising and publishing the Framework and accompanying implementation plan in 2012.
