the bus connection between Dublin Airport and Belfast which is jointly run by Bus Éireann and Ulster Bus when the decision was taken to end the practice of the bus stopping in Dundalk, County Louth; the reason behind this decision; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there is now no direct bus service between Dundalk and Belfast; if he will consider reinstating this service.

The issue raised in an operational matter for the bus companies concerned. I have referred the Deputy’s question to Bus Éireann for direct reply. The Deputy should inform my private office if he does not receive a reply within ten working days.
