  544.  Deputy Seán Kenny      asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport      the appointments made to State agencies and boards under his remit for the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and to date in 2011. [28729/11]

Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport (Deputy Leo Varadkar):    Since my appointment as Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport on 9 March 2011. I have made 34 appointments to the boards of the agencies under my remit. They are listed in the table. Any appointments made prior to my appointment can be found in the Annual Reports of the agencies.

My Department is currently working on a database of appointments to State boards. Within a few months my Department will commence regular publication of information from this database to our website to ensure that up to date information will be more easily available to interested parties and the public.
