Acting Chairman (Mr. Dardis):
As there is a vote in the other House, I propose we suspend the sitting until 6.15 p.m. Is that agreed? Agreed.
Sitting suspended at 6 p.m. and resumed at 6.15 p.m.
Acting Chairman: I welcome the Minister to the House. I understand she would like to say something before we open the debate.
[530]Minister for Public Enterprise (Mrs. O'Rourke):
I always understood that one was paired if one had to be in both Houses simultaneously so I came over to the Seanad. However, when I came into the hall I was stopped and told I had to go to the Dáil for the two votes. I do not wish to show any discourtesy to this House.
